I’m an urban planner from Vancouver, Canada, and I moved to Doha earlier this year. After working on city development projects back home, I was looking for a place where urban growth was happening rapidly — and Doha stood out immediately.

Since moving, I’ve joined a team working on smart infrastructure planning. The scale and ambition of the projects here are incredible — it’s a great place to apply everything I’ve learned, while also learning new approaches in a fast-developing context.

The Duck Life series has evolved significantly since the release of the original game in 2007. Each new installment introduces new gameplay mechanics, settings, and challenges, keeping the series fresh and exciting for both new and returning players.

Duck Life
The first game in the series introduced the basic gameplay mechanics of training and racing. Players started with a duck in need of training and worked through mini-games to build the duck's skills. The main objective was to win races to progress and unlock new areas. The simplicity and charm of the game made it an instant hit.

Duck Life 4
Released in 2012, Duck Life 4 expanded the series even further with new locations and even more mini-games. This installment featured a more extensive storyline and deeper customization options. Players could now train their duck in various elements, including fire, water, and air, each affecting how they performed in races.

Duck Life 5: Treasure Hunt
Duck Life 5 introduced a new concept: treasure hunting. Players could explore different areas for hidden treasures while still training and competing in races. This installment brought a greater sense of adventure to the series, combining traditional training with exploration and puzzle-solving.

Duck Life: Battle
Duck Life: Battle marked a significant departure from the traditional formula. Instead of just training and racing, this game incorporated RPG-style battles where ducks could engage in combat against other ducks. Players could level up their duck, unlock special abilities, and collect items to improve their chances of winning battles. The battle mechanic added a new dimension to the series and garnered a lot of interest among fans.
